This project realized one complete communication process between smart phone and Arduino. It realized the coordination between the motor and multiple sensor through Arduino main board. It created the Frame work of Android smart phone universal remote control. In fact, there’re lots of places which deserve further research and development. For example, the research of practical principle of ultrasonic wave sensor, further coordination of Arduino Bluetooth kit and Android smart phone. More professional products can be bought or I can modify the equipment which is most suitable.
As for the further research of programming delay relating with Arduino IDE, I once have advanced philosophy, but I feel very happy that the nowadays technological development is very fast, because I find more and more designers and manufacturers with similar interests who continuously roll out works and products.
The research presented in this thesis investigates a smartphone-based framework for universal remote control. Taking the toy remote control car as a case study, Universal Controller (UniC) framework is developed, implemented, and tested. UniC uses an Android phone as the main controller, Arduino hardware as an adapter to interface with the control target, and Bluetooth as the wireless communication. It is shown the feasibility and advantages of smartphone-based controller in comparison to the traditional remote control approach.
