MATLAB code for converting a picture of a document into a binary image which fed to the Tesseract OCR

Description

We proposed a method for converting a picture of a document into a binary image which fed to the Tesseract OCR system achieves an accuracy of 98%. This system is robust against background color and clutter. And gives the best performances when the picture is either taken from the top of the document or from the front. The current implementation of the code is in MATLAB and requires to upload the image on a computer.
