Sparse second-order model: \n M q'''' + C q' + K q = B u \n y = F q + G q' + D u \nwhere q(t) is the displacement vector, u(t) the input vector, and y(t) the output vector. The M,C,K,B,F,G,D matrices can be sparse and you can specify initial values for q(t) and its derivative q'(t).
